Apple and ARM have a long history of cooperation. The Cupertino-based tech giant was one of the first companies to co-found ARM in 1990. Interestingly, Apple’s Newton handheld computer was also launched in 1993 with a chip based on ARM architecture.
Apple’s Newton project failed; But ARM became the most important company designing the architecture of smartphone chips due to the low consumption of its products, which helped to increase battery charging.
