It seems that the price of Nvidia’s expected graphics card for two RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 models has been determined through a Chinese store.
Based on the image published by one of the leakers, the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 cards will probably be released in the first quarter of 2025 in China. The price of these cards is 18,999 yuan ($2,600) and 9,999 yuan ($1,350), respectively. These numbers can change again at the time of unveiling.
China usually uses a 13% value added tax; Therefore, the listed prices are expected to differ slightly from the US market. Excluding the tax, Nvidia graphics card prices for the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 models will likely reach $1,200 and $2,200, respectively.
RTX 4080 and RTX 4090 were released with prices of 1,199 and 1,599 dollars, respectively; So, comparing these prices to the possible prices for the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090, we get a 37% increase for the flagship model. These cards may be custom made by manufacturers, which usually cost more.
Due to US sanctions, Nvidia may unveil a model called RTX 5090D in China instead of the standard RTX 5090. However, the RTX 4090D and RTX 4090 models had a similar price of around 12,999 yuan ($1,800), despite the slight difference.
