Microsoft Edge is undoubtedly one of the best browsers in the world. However, this browser is criticized by users due to the crowded settings and the amount of unnecessary features. Now Microsoft wants to modify the settings page of Edge to further improve its navigation and user experience.
According to a post that was seen on X social network, Microsoft plans to take inspiration from Google Chrome to remove congestion in Edge browser settings. The Redmond giant wants to simplify the user and organize the settings by adding a quick access panel. Redmonds organizes its settings by grouping a long list.
These changes have now been added to the Canary Edge browser. In the Microsoft 365 roadmap, Microsoft describes the changes as “Microsoft Edge; “Upgrading the top settings and improving the navigability of the settings page” has registered.
With this change, the Edge browser will be more user-friendly. The new Quick Access panel makes it easier to access and navigate, allowing the user to access more with fewer clicks.
Reports suggest that these changes will be applied to the Edge browser in October 2024. However, Microsoft applications may be subject to change. Finally, this giant of the technology world plans to add One-Click shortcuts to the sub-menus of Edge settings, including System and Performance or Appearance.
