MacBook Pro will probably not be equipped with OLED display next year either

Two analysts believe that next year’s MacBook Pro will not be equipped with an Old screen; Whereas before, most of the rumors emphasized the opposite.

Ming-Chi KuoApple supply chain analyst and Ross Youngthe display industry analyst, both predicted that the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models will continue to use LCD displays (with Mini LED lights) in 2025. Apparently, the MacBook Pro will switch to the OLED display from 2026.

Compared to current MacBook Pro models with an LCD screen, the benefits of the OLED display include increased brightness, a higher contrast ratio with deeper blacks, improved energy efficiency for longer charging, and more. On the other hand, the OLED display could help future MacBook Pro models with a thinner design.

The next 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with M4, M4 Pro and M4 Max chips are expected to be introduced in October, and no design changes are expected. Apple last redesigned the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro in 2021, and its latest models with M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max chips were released in October last year.
