The veteran politician has been appointed as OpenAI’s Global Head of Policy

According to the New York Times, OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT, Chris Lehane appointed the veteran politician as its head of global policy. As a member of OpenAI’s executive team, Lehane was previously the former head of Airbnb (the online marketplace for accommodation rentals) and a member of the Clinton-era White House.

OpenAI company has not informed about the new appointment; But these appointments come as OpenAI prepares for a new round of fundraising, and Apple and Nvidia are likely to be among the startup’s investors.

OpenAI’s fundraising process is apparently being led by financial firm Thrive Capital, and will eventually value the startup that created ChatGPT at more than $100 billion, reports say. Microsoft is also in talks to join OpenAI’s new funding round; They have already invested billions of dollars in OpenAI.
