Xiaomi was the first mobile manufacturer to introduce a phone with 200W wired charging. But now, apparently, this Chinese company plans to change its approach and focus from increasing the charging speed to increasing the battery capacity of the phones.
According to a report by Digital Chat Station on Weibo, Xiaomi is developing a mobile phone with a giant 7500mAh battery and 100W charging. Also, the production of another model with a 7000 mAh battery and 120 W fast charging is under consideration.
In the following table, the information related to the capacity, charging speed and the time required to complete the battery capacity with the maximum power of various Xiaomi phone models that are developed in the research and development center of Nanjing Science and Technology Park, China are given:

Xiaomi is only one of the smartphone manufacturers that is moving towards using batteries with higher capacities. Honor, Vivo, OnePlus, Oppo and Realme are making smartphones that use silicon-carbon battery technology.
Silicon-carbon battery technology produces a higher energy density for the same size than conventional batteries, but does not necessarily charge faster than conventional batteries.
New mobile phones such as Vivo Xfold 3 have a 5500mAh battery with 80W charging capability in a 4.7mm thick body. OnePlus ACE 3 Pro also has a 6100 mAh battery with a 100W charger.
