The remake monster arrived; Nevera R with 2107 horsepower and acceleration from zero to hundred in just 1.74 seconds
Croatian electric car manufacturer Rimac has introduced an improved version of its all-electric hypercar called the Nevera R with incredible power and exemplary performance on the track and on the corners. This new model is based on the structure of the original Nievera and pushes the boundaries of electric vehicle performance.
According to Rimac’s press release, the Newray R is the second most powerful street car in the world with its astonishing 2,107 horsepower. This dramatic increase in power comes from a new battery pack and redesigned electric motors. The result is stunning acceleration that allows the Nivray R to reach 97 km/h in just 1.74 seconds and cover a distance of 402 meters in 8.23 seconds.
In addition to the exemplary speed in a straight line, Rimek has paid a lot of attention to the turning capabilities of the Newray R; It features a full aerodynamic package, including a fixed rear wing and an aggressive diffuser that increases downforce by 15 percent compared to the standard Nivra. The suspension has been fine-tuned for track use, with more negative camber and grippy Michelin Cup 2 tires as standard equipment.
The Nivray R engine consists of four electric motors, each of which is connected to one of the wheels and precisely distributes the torque. The new generation of Rimek’s all-wheel torque distribution system called All-Wheel Torque Vectoring is implemented in this car along with optimized control to improve the driver’s response and feedback. The braking system has also been upgraded and the new carbon-ceramic EVO2 brakes come with a silicone matrix layer for improved performance and durability in tough track conditions.
Nivray R is powered by a new generation battery pack with a capacity of 108 kWh that uses nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) chemistry; Apparently, this new battery engineering performs better in driving at high speeds. Although the official figures of the range of motion of the car have not been confirmed yet; But Rimac is targeting a range of around 402 km (250 miles) for the Nivray R based on the WLTP cycle, although the actual range is likely to be less.
Newray R still maintains the 500 kW peak charging rate of its previous model, which surpasses the capabilities of most current fast charging stations. One of the unique design features of this car is the three charging indicator lights on the sides of the body that visually display the charging status.
In terms of appearance, the Rimek Nivray R has a more aggressive appearance and an aerodynamically optimized body. Inside, Rimac has equipped its new creation with a luxurious and driver-focused cabin. The interior design of the cabin is largely faithful to the style of the Nievera standard model; But customization features and more features have been added to it.
The steering wheel of Nivray R is flat-bottomed, and the dashboard with a simple and minimalist design along with the air conditioning vents embedded in its depth give the car a modern look. The control of various components such as the audio system, ventilation and navigation is done through a central touch screen.
Rimac plans to produce only 40 units of the Nivray R worldwide, and deliveries will begin in early 2025. The price of this limited production hypercar is set at around 2.5 million dollars.
