Due to software incompatibility, Microsoft stopped the 24H2 update of Windows 11 and announced that it is working on fixing the driver problem; But there is no specific time to solve this problem.
Windows 11 24H2 is Microsoft’s big update for Windows users this year. This version, like the previous updates, has some known problems that you should be aware of before installing.
The newly discovered 24H2 update issue is so serious that Microsoft has had to block some users from installing it for the time being.
A piece of software called Voicemeeter forced Redmond to put the “incompatible” label on systems that use it. In simpler terms, users who have installed Voicemeeter on their computer will temporarily not be able to install Windows 11 version 24H2.
According to Microsoft, the Voicemeeter driver is incompatible with the memory management program in the new Windows 11 update, leading to a blue screen of death when using the software. So, Microsoft is not to blame here.
VB-Audio, the developer of Voicemeeter, is working on a solution; But it is not yet clear how long it will take to achieve the result.
If you are subject to the said incompatibility, using alternative methods to install the 24H2 update will not provide you with the best Windows 11 experience. On one hand, you may face a blue screen error and on the other hand, you won’t be able to use Voicemeeter. Microsoft recommends that you do not upgrade your computer to the latest update until this issue is resolved.
