The main challenges in the field of technology are examined on the National Information Technology Day
The information technology day press conference was held today, August 14th, with the presence of the head and members of the trade union organization of Tehran province. Information Technology Day is on July 22nd in the calendar, but this year it has been postponed to August 16th due to the coincidence of this day with Muharram and its proximity to the presidential elections.
In the commemoration ceremony of this day, the members of Nasr Organization of Tehran, as the custodians of this event, intend to address 5 axes related to the field of information technology in the country.
Hossam Esadi, a member of the board of directors of the Computer Trade Union Organization of Tehran Province, stated that this organization always seeks to receive and solve the challenges of its members, and named these five central issues:
According to the survey of the members of the organization, we have decided to focus on five areas in this event: “filtering challenges for IT businesses, many challenges in human resources, numerous requirements and certificates (especially security certificates), problems related to currency, order registration and supply of goods. and the participation of the private sector in decision-making institutions.

Considering that there is a possibility of the presence of the president or some of his deputies in this meeting, including Mohammad Reza Aref, the first vice president, and Mohammad Javad Zarif, the strategic deputy of the 14th government, the members of the organization intend to raise their demands in the field of information technology. According to Esdi, removing the filter of 6 main and widely used platforms in the country is one of the most important demands.
Ali Hakim Javadi, the head of the Computer Trade Union Organization of Tehran Province, also considered the presence of the officials and political leaders of the country in such events as necessary and said: “The presence of the officials along with the private sector can facilitate the achievement of the goal of 8 percent share of the digital economy.”
He further mentioned the experience of the presence of Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Speaker of the Parliament, at last year’s Information Technology Day event and said about one of the achievements of this presence:
What happened in last year’s event was the additional clause of Note 3 of Article 107, which considered a serious role for the trade union organization in the digital transformation of organizations. With the presence of Dr. Qalibaf, this issue was practically settled and went to the parliament and was included in the law of the program. This was the biggest achievement of last year’s event. Of course, the grounds for this had been prepared in advance, but when an official is faced with a large number of applicants and faces a reasonable request, he accepts it. He also made a promise to us in the same ceremony, which was finally fulfilled.
The head of Nasr Organization further added: “In any case, the economy of our country is a state economy and we work with different departments of the government, and it is better that the officials stay informed about our affairs and help us.”
Ehsan Zarinbakhsh, a member of the board of directors of the Computer Trade Union Organization of Tehran Province, also mentioned in this meeting the invitation to candidates for the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and explained that “issues such as supply of goods, migration of human resources in the field of information technology, migration of companies with all The capacities and specialist forces they have and… are one of the main challenges of this field, which the next minister should think about.”
This member of Tehran’s Nasr organization explained the importance of this field for the country by stating that “the field of information technology does not currently have favorable conditions”, but he complained about the neglect of this field in the field of decision-making. Zarinbakhsh said:
“The country seeks to reduce the country’s dependence on oil revenues, it seeks to develop other industries, but the information technology industry, which is one of the basic industries in achieving this goal, and the production infrastructure and production line of other industries also ride on it. are not considered in the field of decision-making. This is despite the fact that the information technology industry has the ability to create transparency and is also a driver of development and employment.”
The members of the Computer Trade Union Organization of Tehran province also announced the decision to form a permanent committee and secretariat to hold conferences such as the Information Technology Day event. Also, these members announced that they are planning to invite foreign guests from the field of information technology to transfer their experience, to prepare the Hakim Kharazmi award for prominent figures in the field of information technology, etc., for the celebration of this day next year.
The third information technology event will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 1403, from 16:00 to 22:00. Registration and attendance at this event will be free for organization members with a membership code. General and non-regular visitors need to pay a fee to attend this ceremony.
Solving some challenges in the field of “Efta” and “providing currency for importing goods”
In another part of this meeting, Hakim Javadi, the head of Nasr Organization, informed about the efforts of this organization to solve some problems and obstacles in the two areas of “security (AFTA)” and “currency allocation and supply of goods”. He said about the challenges in the Afta area:
“One of the serious problems in the field of EFTA is the severe strictures that are carried out in the process of obtaining permits. In the meetings we had with the officials in the government and the presidency, good things happened in this regard, and we hope to see soon that the long queue to receive EFTA certificates will be resolved.”
Hakim Javadi also explained about the issue of non-allocation of foreign currency and also the challenges that existed in the field of supply and import of goods and announced the addition of foreign currency quota in this field:
Regarding the currency issue, the laws of 1403 were different from the previous years and there was a concern that currency resources would be exhausted. In the meetings we had with the Ministry of Security, we managed to get new statistics of the currency allocation codes for the entry of goods, and our own statistics were updated, and one billion dollars was added to the foreign exchange quota of this area. He also mentioned that other problems in this area have been resolved or are being resolved through the consultations of the trade union organization.
