A Chinese forum called CoolAPK has shared images attributed to Xiaomi’s first button-less smartphone, the Wangshu.
There have been rumors about a Xiaomi buttonless phone for some time. In this type of phone, there are no physical buttons, not even the power and volume buttons.
Wangshu seems to have been an internal name for the development of a device from the Mix series in the past. Xiaomi tested its first button-less phone 1.5 years ago, and the leaked images from Wangshu appear to be from the same phone.
The Wangshu concept is said to have a 2nd generation Snapdragon 8 processor, support 200W charging power, and use a 2K OLED display with a variable refresh rate of 120Hz.
Earlier it was reported that Xiaomi’s buttonless phone is codenamed Zhuque. Thus, there is a possibility that Wangshu is a canceled design and now Xiaomi wants to repeat the buttonless phone idea after 1.5 years with Zhuque. Finally, it is not clear whether we will ever see a Xiaomi buttonless phone in mass production or not.
