On the eve of the unveiling of Xiaomi’s flagship phone, which is supposed to take place immediately after Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 generation 4 chip is unveiled on October 21 (October 30), more details of the Xiaomi 15 series have been released.
Every year, the autumn season usually turns into the arena of Chinese flagships, and this year is no exception. Vivo has just introduced its X200 series and the new Oppo Find X8 series phones are going to be unveiled next week. The new family of Xiaomi phones can also be seen on the same horizon.
Now, thanks to a leaker’s post, key specifications of the Xiaomi 15 have been leaked. According to him, this phone has a 6.36-inch old (AMOLED brand) flat screen with 1.5K resolution, which has the same dimensions and resolution as the Xiaomi 14 model.
In terms of hardware, Xiaomi 15 will be equipped with SD8G4 chip or Snapdragon 8 Elite and a 5,500 mAh battery. This number is still relatively small compared to some of its competitors, such as the Oppo Find X8 and Vivo X200 Pro Mini, but it’s a big jump from the previous model’s 4,610 mAh battery. Xiaomi 15 will likely come with a 90W wired and 50W wireless charger.
The phone in question is said to sport a 50-megapixel triple camera setup on its rear panel, which includes an OV50H main camera and a telephoto camera with 3x zoom. For comparison, the Xiaomi 14 used a 50MP Light Fusion 900 main camera.
The Xiaomi 15 series is expected to use HyperOS 2.0 based on Android 15 for the first time. There is no information about the price of the phone yet.
