Pages copilot was introduced; Microsoft’s artificial intelligence playground for businesses

Microsoft introduced a new feature called Copilot Pages, which is designed for “multiplayer collaboration with artificial intelligence”. Copilot Pages allows you to use the Copilot chatbot and move responses to a new page for editing with the help of other colleagues.

Jared Spatarothe vice president of Microsoft’s artificial intelligence team says:

“You and your team can work collaboratively on the same page with Copilot. All changes are visible to everyone at the same time and you can interact with Copilot like a colleague. You can even add more information from data and files and the web to your page.”

He considers this work method to be a completely new work model; Multiplayer collaboration between humans and artificial intelligence and humans again.

The new Pages feature is available today for Microsoft 365 Copilot customers and will be released to all subscribers by the end of this month. The Pages feature is based on an old project called Loop.

You can share Copilot Pages with a simple link so that your colleagues can start editing it immediately like a Word document. Copilot Pages can be embedded as sections of other pages. Since these pages are connected to Microsoft’s new BizChat, a workspace for Copilot, you can pull data from the web or your files and create projects, work notes, business proposals, and more. Microsoft sees Copilot Pages as a new way of working where humans and artificial intelligence work together in a single environment.

Microsoft makes Copilot Pages available to more than 400 million people who log into Copilot’s free chatbot with a Microsoft Entra business account. Pages is part of Microsoft’s broader effort to improve CoPilot in the workplace, which includes improvements to the AI ​​assistant in various Office applications.

In addition to Copilot Pages, Microsoft introduced Copilot Agents for all businesses. Introduced earlier this year at the Build conference, these agents act like virtual employees and perform repetitive tasks automatically.

Instead of sitting idle and waiting for questions, Copilot can do things like check emails and automatically perform a set of tasks or enter data. Thus, employees are freed from repetitive tasks and can focus on more important tasks.

Microsoft 365 Copilot subscribers will have access to a new tool for building Copilot agents in Copilot Studio. Spataro says:

“Now anyone can quickly create a CoPilot agent directly in BizChat or SharePoint, accessing the wealth of knowledge stored in SharePoint files.”

AI agents are designed to appear like virtual colleagues in Teams or Outlook, and you can call them and ask them your questions.
