The Opera browser is equipped with a new feature based on artificial intelligence that allows the user to perform actions such as grouping, pinning, bookmarking and closing tabs using natural language.
Opera announced that people can activate Aria’s search bar by pressing / + Ctrl or / + Cmd and typing queries like “group all video tabs” or “mark all currently open tabs.” Opera pointed out that all the processing of these commands is done on the user’s side; As a result, no data will be extracted from the browser to understand the meaning of the requests.
You can provide commands related to specific sites or specific categories. For example, write “Close my YouTube tabs” or “Group all my shopping tabs.” Of course, it is not yet clear whether it supports the Persian language or not.
The tab grouping feature with typing prompts is useful when you have many tabs open at the same time and want to sort and group them.
Opera is releasing the AI-based features through its developer version for now, but hopefully this feature will make its way to the public version as well.
Last year, Opera released a version of the Opera One browser with a new tab grouping concept called Tab Islands, which automatically groups some tabs based on a general context.
Chrome and Edge browsers offer numerous artificial intelligence tools for tasks such as chatting with chatbots, summarizing the content of sites and videos, or searching for images. However, it seems that Opera is using artificial intelligence to make the browser easier to use.
