Nvidia announced at CES 2025 that it will release a dedicated GeForce NOW app for SteamDeck and a browser version for mixed reality headsets including the Vision Pro and Meta Quest 3 and 3S. The GeForce NOW app brings more than 2,100 games to the devices, including two AAA Microsoft titles coming in 2025.
SteamDeck Velo previously had limited experimental support for GeForce NOW via the Chrome browser and an automated script. The native app is expected to perform better, offering up to 4K resolution at 60fps and HDR when connected to a TV, with support for cloud-based GeForce RTX gaming systems. GeForce NOW users, like Nvidia graphics card owners, will enjoy benefits such as DLSS 3 technology to improve frame rates.
Along with the introduction of the special version for Steam Deck, Nvidia gave early access to the GeForce NOW service for virtual reality headsets. To play games with this service, you will only need to open a browser and visit play.geforcenow.com after receiving the 2.0.70 update of the application.

With the addition of GeForce NOW to mixed reality headsets, users will have access to games like Obsidian Entertainment’s Avowed and id Software’s DOOM: The Dark Ages when the PC version is released, in addition to the existing game library.
