Digital Chat Station (DCS) on the eve of the introduction of the Dimensity 9400 chip, revealed relatively complete information about the new Taiwanese flagship chip.
According to DCS, the Dimension 9400 will be equipped with a Cortex-X925 core with a frequency of 3.62 GHz. Dimension 9300 uses the main Cortex-X4 core with a frequency of 3.25 GHz.
Apparently, Dimension 9400 will have three Cortex-X4 cores with a frequency of 2.8 GHz, except for the main core. While previous reports indicated that MediaTek’s new system-on-chip will use the newer Cortex-A725 cores as mid-cores, DCS claims that the Dimension 9400 will likely retain the same current-generation Cortex-A720 cores.
The Immortalis-G925 MC12 graphics unit with a frequency of 1.612 GHz will be in charge of graphics processing. Dimension 9400 will probably be made based on TSMC’s second generation 3nm lithography called (N3E).
Benefiting from 3nm class lithography can mean improved chip performance and increased productivity. MediaTek’s flagship chip will undoubtedly have a special focus on artificial intelligence.
The Dimension 9400 is confirmed to use Samsung’s latest LPDDR5X RAM module, which is one of the world’s fastest RAMs with data transfer speeds of up to 10.7 Gbps, and is designed for improved on-device AI performance (offline) and activities such as speech-to-text. has been
