Limitation of phones and tablets during school time; Android welcomes parents with a new feature
According to the Verge report, Google plans to add the School time feature to Android phones and tablets and Samsung smart watches. This feature allows parents to set restrictions on their children’s use of phones or tablets at school.
The School time feature was released for the first time in May (May and June) for the Google smart watch called Fitbit Ace. This feature prevents any distraction in the classroom.
The School time function not only allows parents to prevent their children from accessing some applications, but they can also limit the notifications of phone calls and messages from some audiences.
Parents can access School time settings through the Google Family Link app. Other teens can also use Focus mode to block notifications when they need to focus.
Later this summer, Google will make it possible to connect a parent’s YouTube account to a teen’s YouTube account so that parents can better monitor their children’s activities.
It is not yet clear which of the Android phones or tablets will have the School time feature. Apple also has a similar feature to School time; But users can only access this feature through Apple’s smart watch.
