iPhone 16 is not popular among teenagers; But maybe Apple’s artificial intelligence will turn the page
A new report from the Piper Sandler Fall 2024 Survey shows that Apple products are still popular among American teenagers. According to this survey with a statistical population of more than 13,500 teenagers in 47 states, 87 percent of them declared that they have an iPhone. Additionally, 88% of teenagers expect their next smartphone to be an iPhone.
Although Apple products continue to dominate in America, reports suggest that teenagers are not interested in upgrading their phones to the iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. Only 22% of the survey respondents said that they plan to change their phones this fall or winter.
The decline reflects a growing trend among teenagers to use their iPhones longer before upgrading, and smartphones are now three generations behind the iPhone 16 on average. This is a significant change compared to two years ago; When the average replacement interval for iPhones was only 2.5 generations.
