Intel driver golden update; Lunarlake integrated graphics performance in games improved by 24%

Intel released new graphics drivers that significantly affect the performance and optimization of several games. These drivers improve performance by up to 24% on Core Ultra 200V integrated GPUs (codenamed Lunar Lake) and up to 20% on Arc Alchemist desktop graphics cards.

The size of the new Intel driver package has increased to 1.4 GB due to the integration of Arc GPU and Lunar Lake iGPU drivers in this version.

Looking at Intel’s release notes, the company has made improvements to a number of games and also added new game support with 32.0.101.6127 WHQL / 32.0.101.6044 Non-WHQL drivers.

Optimizing games in Intel graphics driver update:

  • Game On Driver support on Arc Alchemist, Meteor Lake and Lunar Lake graphics in No More Room in Hell 2

Intel graphics driver update problems:

You may encounter some problems after installing the Intel graphics driver update:

  • Enabling or disabling Endurance Gaming mode caused the previous frame rate preset to not maintain the desired frame rate. If this issue is encountered, users are advised to select the desired setting to re-apply the frame rate mode.
  • The Chaos Enscape 4.1 benchmark is likely to cause visual disturbances
  • 3DMark Wildlife performance may be lower than expected
  • Final Fantasy XVI may experience some issues while running

With the recent release of its graphics driver update, Intel has confirmed additional issues that have not been fixed. For example, when playing Doom Eternal (Vulkan), you may experience flickering in some areas of the screen. According to reports, Blender is experiencing issues when rendering some benchmarks. Adobe Premiere Pro also has issues when encoding 8K AV1. Star Wars Outlaws may experience graphical glitches or even crashes.

The 32.0.101.6127 WHQL / 32.0.101.6044 Non-WHQL driver is now available for download for Intel 11th generation processors up to the latest Lunar Lake series processors. However, Intel recommends that users use their device manufacturers’ custom drivers instead of generic Intel drivers, as these drivers have features that have been selected specifically for the user’s device and have also been extensively tested.
