Deputy Minister of Communications: The lack of internet quality is due to the problem of filtering; The government is determined to remove filtering

The head of regulatory organization and the deputy minister of communication and information technology considered filtering as the reason for the lack of internet quality and announced the follow-up of this issue in the government.

Hamid Fatahi said at the 34th session of the Supreme Council of Provinces: “We are following the filtering issue, but we are not in a good situation now.” This is due to the lack of internet quality. The proliferation of devices such as filter breakers causes harm to children and teenagers and it should be addressed soon.

The head of the regulatory organization emphasized that “the government has a serious determination” in the field of filtering and added: “Besides fixing the filtering, there should also be the issue of lawful governance. In any case, the issues of frauds should also be taken into account and thought should be given to such issues.”

He also stated: “The president is pursuing the issue of removing filtering and all our efforts are to put people in better conditions.”

In this meeting, the representatives of the Supreme Council of Provinces also asked the Ministry of Communications to improve the situation of antennas in different regions and to fix the problem of filtering.
