Casio’s first digital ring with a design similar to the old and famous watch of this brand was unveiled
Casio, the pioneer of digital watches, entered the world of wearable technology by introducing its first digital ring called CRW-001-1JR; However, this product, which was unveiled on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Casio’s activity in the field of digital watches, is not equipped with any smart features.
According to the official page of this ring on the Casio Japan website, the CRW-001-1JR has a compact design and a polished steel body and frame. The six-segment LCD display of this device has the ability to display hours, minutes and seconds.
The new ring of the Japanese company also offers other functions such as date display, setting the time of different zones, stopwatch and alarm. Instead of an audible alert, the device’s display flashes, making it an ideal choice for quiet environments.
Despite the small size of the Casio ring (less than 2.5 cm in diameter), its design has been made with the aim of durability and comfort. The energy required by the device is provided by a replaceable battery that, according to Casio, lasts up to two years. This ring is also water resistant.
The fixed size of Casio’s new ring (equivalent to US size 10.5) may be challenging for some users. For smaller fingers, Casio offers spacers with the device; But users with larger fingers should probably look for another model.
