In a decree, the president delegated the chairmanship of the National Artificial Intelligence Organization and its strategic council to Mohammad Reza Aref, the first vice president. In this ruling, the Scientific Vice President was also appointed as the Secretary of the National Artificial Intelligence Organization and the Vice President.
Hossein AfshinSpeaking about the plans ahead of this organization, the scientific deputy of the president said: “The implementation of the comprehensive plan of joint national action for artificial intelligence and the formation of the establishment and statute of the national organization of artificial intelligence are on the agenda.”
According to the Presidential Science and Technology Vice President, he emphasized that with these changes, “not only the National Artificial Intelligence Organization has not left under the Scientific Vice President, but it will continue to operate at the highest level of governance.”
According to the decree establishing the National Steering Council of Artificial Intelligence, the chairmanship of this council is the president or his scientific deputy, and the secretary of the council and the head of the National Artificial Intelligence Center are appointed by the proposal of the scientific deputy and by the president’s decree.
