9TO5Google reports that Google has released a new Screen time reminders feature for the Digital Wellbeing suite of Pixel phones and other Android phones. If users spend too much time in an app, a screen reminder will be shown.
By using Screen time reminders, Google aims to help users not to get too immersed in an application and manage their time. This reminder will be displayed even if users have not activated the time limit on their phone.
Google’s new feature shows a small pop-up message at the top of the screen after a certain period of time. It seems that the Screen time reminders feature appears after 25 minutes of activity on Instagram. It has been observed that a pop-up message appears in some applications after 15 minutes.
Google stated that there is no control over the number of times pop-up messages are displayed. However, users can turn off the reminder function for each of their desired applications separately.
Disabling pop-up messages for targeted apps allows users to easily watch videos or play games. By enabling the Screen time reminders feature on the Android device, this feature will be automatically enabled for all applications.
By tapping on the pop-up message that appears, users will access the option to disable the reminder for the app in question. In addition to Pixel phone users, users of other Android devices such as OnePlus, Oppo, and Notting can also benefit from Google’s Digital Wellbeing tools.
