Earlier this year, Apple released the free Apple Sports app so that users can view live scores of sports matches. Due to the imminent release of iOS 18 and watchOS 11 and the start of the new football season, Apple has released a new update for the app in question. It has the ability to track the ball in real time in games.
According to Apple’s official statement, the update to the Sports app will provide real-time game information so that users can view scores directly from the iPhone’s lock screen or Dynamic Island.
Apple has added a new drop-down menu for scorecard views to the Sports app so users can easily switch between My Leagues and My Teams sections and their feeds for their favorite leagues.
The new version of Apple Sports supports leagues including UEFA Champions League, Europa League, NFL & NCAAF, MLS, MLB, NBA, WNBA & NCAA (Men’s & Women’s), NHL & NWSL, Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga, and Serie A.
The Apple Sports, Apple TV, and Apple News apps sync with each other, so you can see relevant content across all three.
