Xreal has introduced its new line of augmented reality glasses, the One Series, which can create customizable three-degree-of-freedom (3DoF) cinematic displays with rotational tracking and spatial computing. The new glasses can also connect to iPhones, Android devices, Steam Deck game consoles, computers, MacBooks, and almost any other device via USB-C.
The Air 2 Ultra Xreal augmented reality glasses, which were introduced last year, had problems connecting and installing the new app. Xreal seems to have come up with a new way to solve this problem with the new One series of augmented reality glasses, which is to connect to more devices via USB-C.
Previous Xreal glasses required an Xreal Beam or Beam Pro adapter to create spatial displays for USB-C devices. The One Series puts the spatial capability into the glasses themselves with a custom chip called X1 that delivers ultra-low latency.
The Xreal One series offers a large display area with 1080p Full HD quality for each eye. These glasses use a triangular lens design that can produce a 50-degree field of view and have a 20% larger screen than the Xreal Air 2 series.
