Nintendo filed a lawsuit against a streamer called EveryGameGuru. The said company has accused EveryGameGuru of streaming gameplay of stolen games before their official release, as well as providing access to illegal versions of games and hacking tools. Nintendo claims that this person broadcasts games on various platforms such as YouTube, Discord, Twitch, TikTok, DLive and Facebook.
One of the examples mentioned in Nintendo’s complaint is the gameplay of Mario & Luigi: Brotherhood on EveryGameGuru channels on October 22-29 (November 1-8, 1403), while the game’s official release was scheduled for November 7 (November 17, 1403). After Nintendo managed to remove said videos from platforms like YouTube, EveryGameGuru continued to stream games on the Loco platform and even posted a QR code for its CashApp account.
EveryGameGuru created a new account after the previous account was closed and told Nintendo in an email that he had thousands of temporary channels and could continue doing so as long as he wanted. A user with the same name has been seen on Loco streaming Super Mario Jamboree before its official release on October 17.
Nintendo provided a list of other games that EveryGameGuru has leaked ahead of their official release dates, including The Legends of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Mario vs. Donkey Kong, Super Mario RPG, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Pikmin 4, Splatoon 3 and Mario Strikers: Battle League mentioned.
