The artificial island of Sandale is located 5 km from the main coast of Saudi Arabia and covers an area of about 83 hectares. Designed by the Italian firm Luca Dini Architecture and Design, the island is centered around a marina with 86 berths and a yacht club.
Other facilities are also provided in more distant waters for the mooring of large pleasure superyachts that require deeper waters. The island is also home to restaurants, retail shops, and a beach club that provide poolside lounging services during the day and a musical experience at night.
There is also an 18-hole golf course and a club in Sandale. In terms of accommodation, it is not yet clear whether all the rooms are ready or not, but we do know that eventually there will be 440 hotel rooms, 88 villas as well as 218 furnished apartments on the island.
The waters around Sandale host more than a thousand different species of fish, 45 of which are native to this region. There are more than 300 species of coral in these waters. Guests are invited to dive underwater to explore these beauties themselves.
