Honor X60 series phones come with a giant 6600 mAh battery and satellite connectivity.

Honor will unveil new X60 series phones next Wednesday (October 25). Now, more details of these phones have been released, including the giant battery and satellite connectivity.

According to Honor’s post on Weibo, Honor’s flagship phone battery will be named Honor Qinghai Lake, which has a capacity of 6,600 mAh. With this battery, the X60 Pro promises a two-day battery life.

Compared to last year’s X50 series including X50, X50 GT and X50 Pro, all of which were equipped with a 5,800 mAh battery with 35W charging, the new Honor phone battery has been significantly improved.

On the other hand, the leaked images of the basic X60 model still show the same 5,800 mAh battery with 35W charging as the previous generation. Therefore, the 6,600 mAh battery is probably reserved for the X60 Pro only.

In another promotional image published by the Chinese phone maker, satellite communication is mentioned. As a result, the X60 series (or at least one of its models) will support satellite communications. In addition, the display of Honor phones supports PWM dimming technology with a frequency of 3,840 Hz.

Earlier, a leaked screenshot of the X60’s About page revealed that the phone will sport a 6.8-inch display with a resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Also, the main camera of this phone will be 108 megapixels and the selfie camera will be 8 megapixels, and the Dimension 7025 MediaTek chip forms the beating heart of X60.

It is expected that before the unveiling of the Honor X60 series next week, we will see the disclosure of more specifications, including the price of the phone. In Wednesday’s event, apart from the phone, the Honor Tablet GT Pro model with a 12.3-inch screen may also be unveiled.
