Notting unveiled its first wireless earbuds called Nothing Ear Open. With its unique design that goes around the ear instead of inside it, this product is ideal for users who need to listen to music and the sound of their surroundings at the same time.
The performance of Notting Ear (1) and Ear (stick), which use 8.5 and 9.5 hours of battery, respectively (when the noise canceling function is disabled), is slightly better than Ear Open. However, Nothing Ear Open lasts up to 8 hours on a full charge, and up to 30 hours including the charging case. Although the charging case of the mentioned product is 19 mm thick, it does not support wireless charging. According to Nutting’s claim, the company’s new headphones can last up to 2 hours of music playback with just 10 minutes of quick charging.

Notting Air Open charging seems satisfactory due to the 14.2 mm drivers of this product. The directional design of these drivers helps to reduce the sound propagation outside the ear. Each earbud also uses a pair of microphones that support the latest Nothing noise cancellation technology (Clear Voice Technology 3.0).
Nothing Ear Open uses a three-point balance system and a silicone hook to keep the earbuds securely on the ear. Each earbud weighs 8.1 grams, making it the heaviest earbuds to date.
Other features of Notting Air Open include Bluetooth 5.3 with support for AAC and SBC codecs, the ability to connect to two Bluetooth devices and quickly switch between them, and support for Low Lag Mode for gamers. This product also provides the user with the possibility of using the ChatGPT artificial intelligence chatbot when connected to the phone.
Notting’s Ear Open headphones are priced at $149 and pre-orders have already started in the United States, Canada, and Europe, and will be available worldwide from October 1st.
