According to a report by 9to5google, the developers of third-party Android launchers, including Nova, Lawnchair, and Niagara, have recently decided to work together to convince Google to fix the user experience problems of these apps.
This decision has been made due to the decrease in the quality of the user experience of third-party Android launchers in recent years. Numerous changes in the Android operating system have caused the performance of these launchers to face problems, including the incorrect performance of animations and motion gestures to occasional lags during normal use.
The alliance of Android launcher developers is planning to force Google to improve the performance of these applications by collecting user feedback. For this purpose, a large survey has been organized, the results of which are supposed to be presented to the Android and Google team at an event in October.
This survey includes questions about the operating system version, device, launcher and navigation method of users. Developers hope that by collecting more information, they can provide better data to Google and fix existing problems.
One of the main problems faced by users is the malfunctioning of some features such as recent apps menu and screenshot options and selection especially on Google Pixel phones. Also, in some devices, important information such as RAM allocation and other device data are not displayed correctly. These problems have caused the user experience of third-party launchers to be severely affected and users cannot benefit from all the features of their device.
Developers of third-party launchers hope that by providing user feedback to Google, they can make the necessary changes to the core of the Android operating system and provide a better user experience for users. This action shows the importance of user feedback and developer collaboration to improve the user experience in the world of technology.
